Mackenzie Howard is the heart behind Billie’s Bakehouse, named in honor of her grandmother, Billie. Born and raised in Plant City, Florida—the winter strawberry capital of the world—Mackenzie grew up surrounded by small-town traditions and a deep appreciation for food.
Billie’s Bakehouse began with a love of homemade treats and a belief that desserts should do more than satisfy a craving—they should spark a memory. Inspired by classic family recipes and the warmth of generations past, we’ve built a kitchen where nostalgia takes center stage.
Today, we carry that tradition forward by baking with premium ingredients, plenty of care, and a modern spirit that keeps every recipe fresh and fun.
Mackenzie is the heart behind Billie’s Bakehouse, named in honor of her grandmother, Billie. Raised in Plant City, Florida—the winter strawberry capital of the world—Kenzie grew up surrounded by small-town traditions and a love of food. Her grandfather, Charlie Howard, even bred the famed Sweet Charlie strawberry, making family, farming, and flavor a true part of her roots. It was Billie who first sparked Mackenzie’s love of baking during afternoons spent measuring, mixing, and peeking into the oven. That childhood passion has grown into a craft she’s honed for nearly a decade, specializing in pastries and baked goods that honor tradition while bringing fresh creativity to the table.
With almost 10 years in the food industry—from small-batch bakeries to high-volume kitchens—Kenzie has learned what makes a bake truly memorable: quality ingredients, time-honored technique, and consistency you can count on. She’s developed and refined her own recipes to ensure every batch delivers the same golden standard of flavor and texture.
